First of all, remember to check the specific requirements with your airline for hand luggage size and weight restrictions. Next, you can start planning your packing by focusing on the most common guidelines such as:

Pack your liquids clearly: Hand luggage rules limit liquids to containers of 100 ml or less. You can bring multiple containers, but remember that they must all fit into a resealable clear plastic bag that can't be larger than one liter.

Liquids are not just soda or water, but also perfume, semi-liquid substances like toothpaste, conditioner and shampoo, oils and creams, and even liquids in pressurized containers like deodorant.

However, there are exceptions! Do you need to carry medicine, baby food or similar? You can carry these liquids in containers larger than 100 ml. Be aware that airport staff may ask for proof of necessity.

And if you come across something in one of the duty-free shops after you've cleared security, you can take it with you, regardless of size.
